China then had:
      -unemployment
      -impoverishment
      -misery
      -starvation
-China's famed centralized and bureaucratic did not enlarge itself to keep pace with the growing population
-The failure of conservative Modernization Chinese authoriteis were not passive in the face of their country's mounting crises both internal and external
